The award recognises the JSE-listed company that has created strong shareholder value over the medium-term, while also excelling in performance, transforming the business landscape in South Africa through strategic leadership and innovation and maintaining transparency in its communications.

Companies were judged on a range of measures, including the opinions of fund managers and analysts, and the views of News24’s financial reporting team.
Aside from delivering stellar returns and a brilliant performance, Lewis was by far the company most analysts thought had shone the brightest, said News24.
Lewis Group CEO Johan Enslin said the external endorsement of the investment community and News24’s financial team made the award particularly meaningful to the company.
